This is a discussion on "Class Display" in the Top Mud Sites Newbie Help forum : Please dont flame me too badly here. Ok...i tinkered with the numbers in max_class in mud.h several times so that i could increase or decrease the number of classes displayed in the prompt for character creation. The codebase is SMAUG 1.4a. I tried modifying the the class.lst. All this to no avail. No more than the stock classes can be seen at max and no less than four classes can be seen at its lowest. What have i missed here? All i am attempting to do is have the freedom to vary the amount of class ... |

I tried modifying the the class.lst. All this to no avail. No more than the stock classes can be seen at max and no less than four classes can be seen at its lowest. What have i missed here? All i am attempting to do is have the freedom to vary the amount of class choices shown for players when they are given the oppurtunity. I.E., [mage, warrior] but this example isnt allowed for some reason. The lowest i have been allowed is four classes I.E., [mage warrior, druid, cleric]. Thanks for anyone who posts a reply to help out with my problem! |
