I got an extremely strange thing in my message in my message in this thread (scroll down) I'll quote it. Borked up forum behaviour...
IIRC, It happens when you quote someone and mess around a bit with some stuff, don't know exactly how it happens, but the forums recognize certain special characters for use as smiles sometimes, wreaking havoc on the HTML layout as it parses and replaces all these instances of text. You might want to try and fiddle around a bit with this checkbox labeled " Do you wish to enable emoticons for this post?" right below the bit where you enter the text. |

As Ingham said, the forum interprets certain characters as smilies. I've had this mess up in one or two of my own posts before
 For instance, you'll find that a ! followed immediately by a ) will give you the winking smilie. As for who moderates which forum, you'll find that on the main forum page underneath each category. It'll say "Forum Led by: Synozeer" etc. |
