This is a discussion on "Injured friend seeks Space Mud" in the Top Mud Sites Newbie Help forum : Lo all. Warhound here, but posting for a friend. He shattered, and I mean shattered, a leg sledding, and is now laid up in bed for three, count 'em THREE full months. We were thinking about what could occupy him for three straight months. The only answer I could come up with is a Mud. After all, it's kept the lot of us enthralled for a long, long time, eh? So. I let him play a WoT based mud for an hour or two, and he liked it but he didn't know much about WoT, so he wanted ... |

We were thinking about what could occupy him for three straight months. The only answer I could come up with is a Mud. After all, it's kept the lot of us enthralled for a long, long time, eh?
So. I let him play a WoT based mud for an hour or two, and he liked it but he didn't know much about WoT, so he wanted something different. My first instinct was to pitch him on Armageddon. Alas, he's not into fantasy, especially fantasy like that. After talking awhile, he told me that he's far more into a 'spacy' world. Aliens and starships and all that jive. I'm not so far into that side of the Mu* world, but I knew that Otherspace was pretty much King among space-based muds. He tried that, but the Mush commands made his eyes cross. After a couple of hours he gave it up and firmly said 'No MUSH's'. I'm lost now. Three months is a long bloody time, but I know that if he can get into a Mud of some sort, it won't be so bad for him. It's easy to lose yourself, as we all know well. So, any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Try 4 Dimensions.
The theme is Time Travel, so you can pick whatever Time period you prefer. We do have spaceships and spaceflight, of course, but also piracy and pirate ships in the Prehistoric Dimension. We also have lots of trading options, and puzzles and quests, which usually keep players occupied for long periods, if they get tited of bashing mobs.
