Age of Prophecy is a highly fantasy-based game with role-playing that is
enforced. We are running on Rom 2.4b6, highly modified. Some notable
features that deviate from stock Rom are: an enhanced fighting system based
off of character anatomy, an advanced clan system allowing on the fly
creation and editing, enhanced weather system with player interaction,
a fully featured mining system, and advanced player creation. We have
over 225 spells with over 9,800 rooms.

If you are interested in helping in the development of Age of Prophecy into
the next generation of mud gaming please stop by and see us. Below are the
positions open and their descriptions, specific requirments, how to apply,
and the things to include in your application.

Builder
-Building using an enhanced version of OLC 1.81. Many additions make
building easy on Age of Prophecy. Code support is great in that if you
request something added to OLC it will usually be done within a day or two.
Your areas must also be written with a sense of RP. Also, no experience is
required as we will train those who require it. All we ask is that you be
willing to learn.

create one of the best muds around. We do ask that you have some experience
and willing to devote time to your work. All programers are given their own
accounts on the system (p250, 196m of ram, 8 gigs of space) for as long as
they contribute to the development team.

I wouldn't recommend working for this guy; he's blatantly ripping off other MUDs. Ie:

I found that while exploring his website, wondering why some of his features were so similar to ones from my MUD (we have some rather uncommon things, and even the names were identical) - it's a list of skills and spells from my place, along with dozens of helpfiles and things he only had access to because he had made the pretense of being a builder some time ago. Feudal Realms and various other MUDs have had similar treatment, in the same directory... fun, huh?

Anyway, if you want to work for someone whose creativity comes directly from other sources, go for it... but I thought I'd post this in case it makes you think twice. Good gods, some people are sad.

Using ideas is not exactly ripping people off. You had one feature on your mud that i extreamly liked and created my own version of it. I dont see that as ripping off ideas from you. And there is nothing else gotten from other muds. So anyway. Thats all. Ideas are free and not owned by anyone. As for working for you it was almost 2 years ago. and i just started coding last July.

I'm not bringing the argument we just had here. However, you were last on my MUD (well, before this) maybe two days ago - not two years ago. You also never explained why you have long logs of MUDs' logins, skillsets, score sheets and helpfiles in files named 'ideas' if you didn't use them, or plan to. Or why you believe that copying commands' exact uses and names without doing anything other than suggesting they were of your own invention is fine, if you appreciated our having them so much. *shrugs*

( ... I knew what you'd do, so I thought I'd mirror it so as to avoid looking like a paranoid lunatic. I didn't do the same for the stuff from Medievia, Feudal Realms, or Clandestine out of kindness toward their admins, though about the first one.. heh.)

What commands are from your mud of any of them other then walkmode. Your holding up logs that show nothing other then i had logging mode on. As for it being named ideas.txt its ideas isnt it. and they are not imp'd so why would i give you credit for something i'm not using? I dont see the issue here, sorry. When/if i do use them exactly the way you have them, then you can start complaining about not getting credit until then its not really a subject that needs discussion.
