Oh? BS because someone is FINALLY trying to do something about the degeneration of the whole place? Not happy because you finally got slapped and told no? Well, too bad. Some of us don't like coming here only to find the place drowning in spam. Whether it be from you, from Shao, or from Dulan. Keep it up long enough and this place will turn to crap like TMC and the useful content will cease to exist here. Is that what you really want to see happen?

Seriously, everyone needs to give Orion Elder a chance. There is definitely a need for someone to moderate the posts here. I have a feeling that anyone taking the driver's seat for this task would have gotten a lot of crap thrown at him/her.

The 1 line posts/replies aren't necessary and are more fitting for a chat-like environment, not a posting environment. Like many have mentioned, I want to prevent the forums from degrading into what many other forums end up turning into - babble and useless information. Now, I'm not saying that you can't hang out and talk in these forums, so as long as you do it with restraint and mind the concerns others have about mass replies about nothing.

Thank you, Orion, for trying to improve this forum - although there will be some complaints, I think most of the posters (like me) are glad to see that someone is finally trying to bring some order to this forum. I hope the other moderators will start to play a more active role in monitoring their own forums as well - we need to work together if we want to get Top Mud Sites back on track.

Synozeer is right - Orion should really have a medal for trying to bring some order in what this forum has degenerated into in a few weeks. Just give the guy a chance, ok?

I am no big fan of censorship or posts being lifted out of threads myself, since it usually disrupts the context of the thread almost as much as people editing out the content of their posts as an afterthought. There might be other ways of handling things, but right now certain posters made some sort of handling necessary. So, for the moment I am quite ready to live with some censorship myself. Hopefully it will not be necessary any longer, when certain posters have learnt how to behave on a board.

i'm not saying that it shouldn't be moderated, but it should be moderated by someone who'll do it fairly, not one of the main participants in the little "flame war"! an impartial mod would probably be better, and it's rather ridiculous that orion's deleting and/or locking like half of the things in here! (and i know someone will comment on that, so let me specify that it's an exaggeration since i don't feel like counting how many things he screwed with)... and since when is "d*ck" a "bad word"?
