FTI TMC Forums are up and running again
 

As of today the Forums on Mudconnect.com are up and running again, with a new software, and some rules that will hopefully make the discussions a bit more polite in the future.

I'm pretty happy about this, since I really missed them myself. :)

I have to say Molly, this is the one time we will disagree UNLESS they have changed the format of those lousy forums. If not, then Jimmy Crack Corn...:p

Your memory is pretty faulty then. In this thread here:

You acknowledge that there will be *new* forums, with *new* software, and claim to be happy about it. You acknowledge Molly's post, directing you to the "news" section of mudconnector to see the details of the change. This was not even a week ago.

And now, you are saying "if" it doesn't change, you don't care.

You knew it was changing a week ago. It actually made the change a couple of days ago. That's something you would have known, if you had cared to check. Seeing as how you've been contributing to these threads about this particular issue, it stands to reason that you did care. But your lack of attention to the actual information itself - indicates that you never really cared in the first place.

If Newworlds is anything like me, I believe he's trying to say that he's apprehensive of the fact that the site is not changing hands. I recall prophesying that a change of ownership is unlikely, and so far that seems to be the case.

I will remain suspicious of the site until I see actual indications that it is being run well / better than before. That said, getting multiple moderators for the new forum section is a step forward.

Even if Newworlds changed his mind completely, which after reading closely and un-antagonistically I don't believe he did, he is entitled to do so.

Holy Cow Jazuela, you are right. I really should read thoroughly before I post. I didn't forget what I said though, which is this:

"As for new Forums on TMC. I'm all for that, I really didn't like their old forum format."

What I was commenting on was the old forums. At first glance at TMC it didn't look like they've changed because they just have a little icon to go to "new forums". The old stuff is still there. As for the current managment and their ad policies, well, JCC to that too.

I just hope if someone buys it, it is someone who knows how to Admin Forums and that is what they want to do, not promote their own game(s).

I also hope that they keep in place the mechanisms that prohibit cheating.

Their new forums are a huge improvement.

Only time will tell if the community improves along with it.
