Starting yesterday, other posters (the_logos, etc.) and I have seen posts show up in the "recent" queue, but be absent from the thread itself for some time. It seems that once other people add on to the thread, the invisible posts come back.

One possible cause is moving threads via the moderator panel: I moved one (not the one where I'm now observing the bug) yesterday and it caused a weird double-post in the queue. Moving posts wasn't functional until Synozeer recently changed some permissions, and it's possible it interacted poorly with the code for the "recent" queue.

If you notice additional trends related to this bug, please post to this thread.

This is a test.

Hmmm, appeared in both the recent posts and in this thread. Maybe it's thread specific, and only doing this in the Medievia thread?

EDIT: Just tested in the Medievia thread and it worked fine as well. I do recall that a little quirk with Ikonboard is that when you hit the end of a page of posts and it starts a new page of posts, sometimes you can't see that latest post unless another post is made. Maybe that's what's going on here? If you come across this problem, please see if your post would be the 1st one on a new page of posts (I think it's 10 per page).

Yep. Just happened again, and it is (or should be) indeed the first post on a new page.

Edit: As a matter of fact, the page won't appear until there are at least 3 posts on it.

For the record, I had a similar bug on a different set of forums (phpBB), but it was to do with posts having been deleted, but the count of posts in the thread not having been decremented. Hence, the "go to latest post" option didn't work, because it tried to go to, say, the #53 post in a 50 post thread, and it didn't exist.

Perhaps it's something related.
