From OtherSpace creator Wes Platt comes a new evolving fantasy saga: Chiaroscuro. Currently set in the walled city-state of Fastheld, more of the game world will be exposed over time. The realm, under the rule of Emperor Talus Kahar XIV, is surrounded by the massive Aegis wall. That wall keeps out - as much as possible - the Wildlings and other Shadow-Touched evils feared by the inhabitants inside the wall. Magic, the touch of the shadow, is feared in this society. A secret society has formed for mages, but those who are caught are often muted, enslaved or put to death on public Blade Days.

Although Chiaroscuro's chief focus is interactive roleplaying/storytelling, the game also offers a growing collection of robust systems. Players may travel the realm on foot, on horseback or in a boat. They can hunt and butcher prey. And, soon, Marson's new System 4.0 crafting system will be available, opening the door for players to create and customize weapons, farm, and cook. For a list of current features, visit .

Chiaroscuro is now seeking players to fill roles as citizens of Fastheld: Vassals to serve the nobles, freelanders to settle the realm, and merchants to seek profits in commerce. No character applications are required for citizen characters, but we do ask that players choose a fitting name (suggestions can be found in the +names file in-game).
