$100 for a REAL Coder
 

Want to get my hands on a real "Knows his stuff" Coder who can do ANYTHING tasked to him with no shortcuts!

I have 100$ willing to give to a coder who can turn my idea of a MUD into reality.
The codebase will be SMAUG. The money is yours, if you can produce the product
that I am asking for. You will need to be able to put time into this. This is for real.

How many hours do you expect from the coder? If it's say 15 hours, that's only ~$7/hour.

I'm not paying per hour, I am paying for the final product that can withstand an open beta test and final game opening. A lot of people don't pay the coders, but I am willing. And if they stay on once the game is up (And I hope they would be!) then we can talk continued financial payments. I am not opposed to actually paying my staff, after all they are a staff.

BUT the 100 initial is, again, for a codebase that does what I want, and ready for player review.

I understand, but I'm still just wondering how many hours you expect from the coder? I think you need to have it scoped out beforehand or you won't get too many initial bites.

I would be asking a few hours a day. 1-3. Maybe 10 hours a week max. I am a single father so I know that people have lives to do. But bottom line the money is there, all I ask is the coder earns it.

A weekly amount is a bit weird since you're not paying hourly, but I was looking more for total hours.

I can't give you a total hours. I am basically asking for a coder to come in, work with me, and make this game from a basic codebase. So I cannot say how many hours total that could take, really depends on the coder and his skills, no?
