We are moving our forums over to a phpBB2 forum with mySQL and I really, really want a subcategory system.

Has anyone put in a modification like this before in phpBB2? Recommendations? Tips? Tricks? Tutorial?

I do game-engine code, not websites and forums. I figured to ask the experts here before I embark on attempting this modification.

Off to browse the .org site and see what I can scare up.
