Would anyone be willing to update content for The Art of Building? I am not really a member of the mud community any more. I don't want AoB to become another one of the completely static resource sites, but I don't have time to update it any more either. Anyone who helped would be added to the about page and author page.

Thank you,
Neranz Laverani, Seeker of Knowledge

I have an idea that will work for both of us, if you are interested Neranz.

Neranz Laverani 05-02-2003 01:18 PM

I would prefer that the site go to one person that is willing to update it themselves than to become part of a compilation of sites.

Ntanel 05-04-2003 01:50 AM

It actually end up taking over TMJ's Builders' Bazaar.

That sounds fine as long as you are willing to keep the domain artofbuilding.net pointing to the main page. I would rather not leave it as yet another broken link.

Email me if you are still interested in this.

Just to add my two cents, I've never had a problem getting to the site, and I've been using it as a resource for a while, so I just wanted to say kudos to a well-run and informative site.

I have just connected to the site for the first time ( no issues).  The site contains a great deal of useful information. As a result, I have instructed all my builders to take look for themselves.

Neranz spent a lot of years and effort to put up that site, it's well worth the time for ANY builder from any discipline to review.

Neranz,

It has been almost a year now since your first post about this. Have you found someone to take over for you?

Yes, the site is now on one of Kyndig's boxes. Thank you to everyone who offered to take it over. It is nice to know it is valued.

Good luck in your mudding endeavors.

Unfortunately the domain name for The Art iof Building has been snatched up by another site. At least temporarily, you can access it at .

Thanks to Kyndig for continuing to host it. If anyone would be interested in maintaining and updating the site, please let me know.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering what happened to it just this afternoon. I will fix the links both on Midnight Sun's resource pages and on mudlab.org right away. :)

If no one else has stepped up to it yet, I would be very interested in maintaining and updating the site.

While I'm not very well known in the MUDding community at large, I developed a passion for building from the handful of MUDs I've worked on. Building is a unique form of art for me, a cross between descriptive prose and poetry that evokes the reader's senses, and it would be an honor to take up the reins of a website that promotes this aspect of it.

I don't know how many others have made the same offer, but I'd appreciate your consideration. My E-mail address is haiwolfe(at)gmail.com if you want to talk more. Thanks!

I'd also like to volunteer to maintain the resource as well.

Howdy!

It's been a while since I've heard anything new on this. What's the word? Are things up and going with renewed vigor?
