It is the year 2004.

People from around the world have helped shape an evolving original-theme space fantasy for the past six years. Empires have fallen. Warmongering aliens have invaded. Refugees have fled aboard a colony vessel and, due to a space-time fluke, wound up back in normalspace hundreds of years later. Worlds have died. Worlds have been reborn.

The days of pre-planned story arcs are over. Now, we've entered an era of smaller plots and more organic development of larger storylines based on cause and effect of character interactions.

We're phasing out the HSpace flight engine and shifting instead to OSpace - our own home-grown spaceflight system that is more cinematic and RP-friendly than what we've used in the past.

Starting May 1, we celebrate our sixth anniversary, culiminating with the distribution of OtherSpace Quarterly Roleplaying Awards on June 28 - six years to the day we first opened our doors. The celebration will include roleplaying events, marathons and other activities.

Current players are invited, but we're also extending a special invitation to former players who want to check out the new face of OtherSpace and get back into the mix. Bring your creativity, your humor and your thirst for adventure. Be a totally new character or be your old character (as long as they didn't die before you departed).
