IE: There are 4 games I really like and I like them all about the same... can I vote for all 4 at once? or do I have to pick just one?

You can cast one vote per 12 hours, period.

I'm sure the paying masses would love the idea of voting more than once for more than one mud, you could then have 12000 or so votes each for DR, DR:Fallen, DR:And, DR:Can't, DR:Get, DR:Up, and so on as more and more versions come out and get listed...but no, you can thankfully only vote for one damn game per 12 hours....

Heh, I was hoping to be able to vote for Dragon's gate, and Gateway Mud as well as DR, but oh well, guess only the top mud in the world gets my vote... that being DR.

Terloch 10-03-2002 10:14 PM

Vote away, people are very quickly starting to not care because the whole voting list is a general farce...

You make it sound like pay to play muds are so horrible and are the death of muds. Have you ever tried some of them?

DR, Gemstone, and DG would knock your socks off I assure you. Alot of attention to detail and roleplaying goes into the games. Not all pay to play muds are evil.

While I agree that Gemstone and Dragonrealms have a tremendous amount of detail, I would disagree that there is a lot of roleplaying going on in either game. OOC behavior is commonplace in both. I enjoyed playing Gemstone for a number of years before I discovered -real- roleplaying elsewhere.  I observed more roleplaying in DG than in Simu's games, but even there I saw some OOC behavior.  I doubt that I'll ever play a game again where roleplaying is merely optional or encouraged.

Unfortunately, this is very commonplace in almost every game I've tried. I find Rping leads to the RPers, squelch the OOC folks, they just don't get it. Topic for another discussion I suppose.
