Elysium RPG is a wonderful MUD that I have been addicted to for almost 2 years now. There are other players who have been around for nearly 6 years plus. It has a great storyline and many original features. Guilds, cities and orders can go to war and the cities are all player run with many different positions Including Emperor, Minister of State, Minister of Trade and others. You can rise in the ranks of your order and also be the head of a Guild. There are 25 different skills ranging from alchemy to runesmithing to herbalism. There are 15 different guilds to choose from, each with 3 available skills. There are 5 different orders with Gods that are played by actual players. These include Gralnak, God of Chaos; Aurora, Goddess of Tranquility; Zharadan, God of Magic; Alaric, God of the GOlden Dawn and Silathis, GOd of Pain. There are many quests available and no leveling, just skillwise. Many ways to make money and the cities are run by industries. Some examples of industries are mints, which are used to make money, mines which produce ore to put into the refineries which produce ingots that can be made into armour or weapons or legions for the city. The price dropped immensely and you dont even have to pay to play. You can pay however for credits which are used to produce lessons which you use on your skills. You can gain lessons without playing also, its just a little slower. Come check it out, you wont be upset about it.
