MU*Wiki: Ad campaign coming soon!
 

I'm planning to buy some banner advertising for the at RPG.net in the very near future. It's a site geared mostly toward tabletop roleplayers, but it could bring some folks that are unfamiliar with MUDs to our little niche of the Internet.

Be sure to get your game listed in the MU* Promotional Pages as soon as you can, even if it's just a basic page with your game's name, website and Telnet address.

NOTE: The MU*Wiki listings are totally free and I'm fronting the cost of the advertising. All the MU*Wiki needs from you are game listings! :) I expect the initial campaign to last about a week and we'll see how it goes. I'll post here once the advertising is secured and the campaign begins.

You know, while I'm sure you didn't do this intentionally the fact that you're the only person I've heard promoting MU*Wiki and that one of your games is the "featured game of the week" (and I believe was featured as such last time I visited too, much more than week ago) AND that the "featured art" comes from one of your games makes MU*Wiki look like a promotional tool for your MUDs, not a promotional tool for MUDs in general.

OS is the featured game this week mostly because someone from Lost Souls pitched it. If we had art from other games, I'd post it. We don't yet. Bring it on. :) And by the time I get the advertising, the MU* I've currently got as my full vote recipient in the MU*Wiki voting page (X-MEN Movieverse, no relation to Jointhesaga.com), will most likely be the highlighted game.

Hope this alleviates your concerns.
