Looking for a new mud that have good pet based system/followers and colorful ansi equipment

Might I suggest New Worlds Ateraan at:

We have an excellent pet system where you have numerous options from mice, to dogs, even tigers. There are also what we call "familiars" assigned to various guilds, like servants, guards, squires, and there are also familiars found in throughout the game with quests and relics and elsewhere.

The color system is reserved to important aspects of the game which you give the players a feel for what equipment might be epic or more have special powers associated.

Keep in mind Ateraan is a roleplay enforced game, so if you are not looking for serious roleplay this might not be what you are after, however, we have one of the best new player systems and a group of staff and players that can assist you through the aspects of creation and beginning play.

Heya,

Bedlam offers all kinds of followers, and is the only MUD I know of that saves follower gear when you quit.

Color on items indicates item type/quality; you won't get rainbows, etc.

Hi there.

on shadowgate (). We don't have a pet system (there are mounts however).
But there is a very extensive follower system. Where you can equip, describe and control your followers down to the slightest detail. It is mostly restricted to the Bard, Priest and Knight classes though :)

You should have a look at 4Dimensions.

Apart from the usual pets we have also a very special type of followers, known as Golems.

These are small stauettes, that can be carried around, but once you drop them on the floor, they become alive, and start to follow you.
They are trainable and will level and increase in strength while fighting with you. They can wear all kinds of equipment. and obey a number of simple commands. They can also be healed in battle, in fact this is advisable.

When you tire of your golem following you, or when you want to log out from the mud, just pick it up, and it will return to the statuette stage.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think our Golems are pretty much unique in the Mud world.
