Platform migration

I've been using LambdaMOO since the mid-90's. I love being able to add/change functionality in-game and on the fly. I love the object-oriented nature of the MOO language and an entire syntax developed solely for building games. It's becoming increasingly difficult to develop in MOO and keep up with modern technologies, however, and so with much reluctance I'm looking for a new platform.

I don't really care what language the server is coded in, but I'd rather write game mechanics in something a lot more dynamic than C. A few of the features I'm looking for are: an OO architecture with multi-inheritence, full persistence and a built-in web server. My server is a Mac Pro (UNIX).

I've done some looking and so far, Evennia looks very promising. I just thought I'd drop a post here and see if anyone has a better suggestion.

Thanks!
