Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Isn't(ever)boring -- Check! Quite varied!
Is(always)original -- Check! Predates the SW movies by 10k years.
Has a open skill system -- More or less checked. You do have to what SOME people.
Has alot of friendly people -- It's offline.*

* I find that offline characters (NPCs) are usually more interesting, realistic, diverse and less insulting then any online counterpart can manage.

Shadows of Isildur.

I was like you once... I got so #### tired of all the usual hack'n'slash/level up stuff. They're all the same... Then I found Icesus and Islands of Myth. They kinda got me hooked up again. Then, inevitably, I felt bored again.

Shadows of Isildur saved my mudding career. I've thrown the last remnants of my social life out the window.

Hello! I have two MUDs I could suggest.

Both of these games are roleplaying intensive. They are both highly original, skill-based (with no levels), and quite interesting.

Both offer a way to connect from your browser, as well, but I would still reccommend using a client.

First off, I would like to reccommend Accursed Lands:

Secondly, I would like to reccommend Armageddon:
(I think)

I don't play Armageddon anymore because of some logging-out problems I had, and I was annoyed at its near complete lack of ansi. But the roleplay there is good quality. If you have any questions about Accursed Lands, however, feel free to IM me at:

CandidatusLupus

I'll be more than happy to assist you if you decide to start that game and feel lost, or would just like more information.

I would LOVE to see any type of game that doesn't get boring sometimes. I somehow doubt one exists though (not just talking muds here. ANY game).

This just boggles my mind. What is the point of solo-emoting?

If it's been two days since you applied (meaning, 48 hours or more) then you should make sure that you logged out correctly.

If you just "x" out of your client when you're done rather than following the menu directions, your account is still logged in and they won't be able to do anything with the application.

As for suiciding, there is no coded "suicide" command. Armageddon is a RP game. They don't want people just randomly killing themselves because to the rest of the game world, that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Also if you intentionally get your character killed just because you don't like your stats, or get bored, or whatever - and do this often, the staff will probably wonder if you're actually interested in RPing in a harsh environment or not - and you might not see any karma options on your character choice list any time soon.

Regarding solo-emoting - it's for character development. Also without giving out IC info - you never know who's watching, that you can't see.

There are no canned automated quests that I know of so emoting out the "right emote" to get a mob to respond isn't gonna help you much.
