Come run my RP MUD
 

Hey folks,

I've been given unlimited access to my latest server and the MUD has run non stop for three years there with no end in sight. However, I'm awful busy building my own gaming engine (see ) and the code is pretty stable over at nimud.divineright.org 5333 -- but I don't have time to run it like I used to. I'm looking for an ambitious player to come and take over as the lead administrator / builder.

This doesn't mean you'll be given shell access, but you will be able to run the mud and basically call it your own. You will be given access to build, you are permitted to advertise, add new content etc.

The Isles has been around since 1993. Help keep it alive by running it for me!

I sincerely recommend that anyone even considering this "offer" realize that the code this game is using is stolen and that association with this game will negatively affect one's reputation in the MUD community. The dubious claim to being a "RP MUD" aside, this game has been banned from at least one MUD listing and the code likewise stricken from search engines and removed from depositories. If you value your good name, having nothing to do with this game is a good idea.

Yay! Just what I always wanted! To pour time and energy into a mud, but not have shell access, so all my work and effort can be taken away from me at the drop of a hat! Effort without control! Yaayyy!! Work without powerr! Wooootttttt!
