You do realize you can format your own computer to be a linux server, right? That'd be about the cheapest you can get.

I've heard of people doing that, but I personally do not know
how to that. I know how to move about on the internet more than I do about getting through the wonders of Windows.

As much as I'm opposed to it, because Windows is a poor server OS, you can actually compile, with minimal hacks, most mud servers with Cygwin.
