looking for something different

ok i quite enjoy trying out multiple muds, weather i stay and play is another matter,
so i was wondering if there any muds out there that are underplayed and you would suggest to someone trying to find a mud

my only requirements,
i don't want [wall of text] muds where you have to spend half an hour to read each romms description
a friendly community, i've found some muds which seam to shun the idea of getting new players

How about EmpireMUD types?

Go with Ironclaw:

And I know what you mean by MUD's shunning new players. Long ago, I once said at Marrach that we (the Players) 'sell' the Game--and was ridiculed over it.

Ironclaw sells itself pretty well.

Arden,

You may want to try Alter Aeon. We're definitely not a 'wall of text' game, and the new player area is intended to get you out and doing something interesting as quickly as possible. We've got enough players that you should always be able to find someone to talk to. There's a lot of different social aspects including private and player owned channels, groups, and clans.

If you happen to be blind (hence your dislike for 'wall of text' games), we have a pretty comprehensive blind mode and various customizable filters to help with readers.

Happy hunting!

We had a player on New Worlds Ateraan pre playerwipe (several years ago) that was a fantastic merchant named Arden. But, I'm being nastalgic, I would strongly recommend this game for your enjoyment:

Good Luck and have fun!

Thank goodness. Darn that Arden. He drove people insane! (Despite the good roleplaying ability).:D
