Otherspace and the wonders inherent therein
 

I have played a few games here and there, both code intensive and lacking anything but the barest frameworks. I have seem MUDs and MUSHs so empty that tumbleweeds feel lonely.

The wonderful thing about OS is that the people there are all trying to make great stories. The staff work hard to keep the game fun and exciting, the rest of the players do as well. There is a high level of acceptance for all sorts of ideas, the more unique the better and creativity is encouraged, as is enthusiasm and the desire to make great stories. There is always something changing and something being worked on and some plot in the waters to make life exciting. The staff have just kicked off a new story arch in fact with lots of hinted danger and potential trans-universe spanning excitement.
