Choosing a Linux Distro for my VPS

I just recently signed up with a new VPS host, and I noticed they offer a veriety of linux distros. I'm looking for some advice on which one I should choose. They offer Arch Linux, CentoOS, Debian, Debian Minimal, Fedora, Gentoo, SUSE, and Ubuntu.

The flavor of distro shouldn't matter too much as they all likely use the same kernel. That said, the most popular server distros are Debian (of which Ubuntu is an offshoot) and Fedora (the community version of RedHat,) and your choice usually boils down to whether you want to use apt-get (Debian) or yum (Fedora.) There are other differences, of course, but they are mostly cosmetic (e.g. where to place standard config files, or how to set up CRON jobs.)

Yeah its personal preference, much like what text editor you choose to use, and sometimes prone to flame wars though not as often as text editors are.
