Legendmud is a open class mud so your stats control what skills you can get ive setteled on a tanking mage for now . the magic system is crazy you dont just learn spells you learn word and with word combos you make spells, i have about 100 spells now and there are 2 mage styles with there own set of spells !
legend is set around the myths and legends of mankind with 3 time eras ancient, midevil and industril .if you start in ancient you can be mage or druid that mixes potions, makes poultices or flavor your food or drink ,in turn have differant affects , there are about 60 herbs you can use. ooh ya you can drink, tain your arrows,weapons or just throw a vial . medevil are warrior types , with some druid or magic skills depeding on what home town you choose and from industrial you can use guns and or field surgery as a healer . gun users can get the sniper skill the chance of a one shot skill or shooting a weapon out of the hand from the next room witch is always funny in a pkill fight . now the learning curve is a little high cuz there are so many command and mobs teach skills , most skills are around home towns or the era you are born in .

Most people think their regular mud is the best. If they didn't, they wouldn't be there.

You're not really doing your mud any favours by insulting the competition. At best, people will dismiss you as a fanboy and ignore the rest of your promotion. At worst, they'll take your comments personally and respond in kind. Neither outcome helps LegendMUD.

Right, so, um...

Firstly, the whole typo thing, i.e. im instead of I'm, really doesn't help your case. You didn't even take the time to proof your promotion, which really sends up a lot of red flags right there.

Second, I have in fact played legendmud. While it is in fact unique, you obviously haven't tried enough muds; each mud is going to have unique features, and if I recall correctly, it doesn't even have much of a crafting system and the combat is almost stock. It's been some time so I could be wrong and it most certainly has unique features (the magic kind of is), but assuming that it is the only thing to have most of the things you listed won't help you, either. If I really felt like starting a full-out flamewar, I could dissect your post line-by-line stating where every feature can be found besides legendmud, but that's just a waste of time.

Using censored swear words in your post makes you look like a 12 or 15-year-old, no offense if you are, who just discovered muds--most of the posts on here that I've seen that fall in the flamewar category don't even do that.

That said, half the promotions don't bother to say why poster x likes game y--they often just ask you to check it out yourself--so that is nice.

I don't wish to seem like a troll--perhaps I am in this instance--but if you're going to promote a game, please, please take the time to do it right.

when you say craftring system are you talking about herding sheep , choping down trees and farming ? if so i would like to steer clear of that kind of suff for sure . i much more enjoy mobkill to mining ore

Yes, I mean farming and the like, and it honestly doesn't have to be as boring as it would sound. In fact, even in the wider world of graphical games, most rpgs nowadays have it in some form or another. There's one I know of where the players haven't managed to figure it out yet--it's completely whimsical, kind of, but is definitely consistent. You're using goblins and such instead of farming tools, and can take the stuff from it and make, say, a potion that lets you breathe fire. That's 3 kingdoms by the way, also featuring mages that can summon armies (if you're going to play one, go on 3 scapes, a mud run by the same people, kind of--it's complicated, but they share some common chat channels), cyborgs, and a bunch of other stuff. Generalizing, you'd probably like most of the lpmuds. Beware, however, as some of the lpmuds don't save eq--it actually can add to the gameplay experience, believe it or not, if done right.

For the whole magic thing, see godwars muds--there's a tone of them, I believe a moment of hatred is still active. They have the whole rune thing, and even have a programming-like spell creation system for "truemages", and the guy who originally coded it went on to write godwars2, which is something I can't describe in a post--combat is manual, for starters, and the world did away with rooms.

For another lpmud, there's batmud, with regularly 200+ players on, including merchants, transforming evil cleric-monster things, alchemists (you won't be able to play one from the start, need a few hundred million exp first, or some ridiculous amount), ships, and a bunch of stuff I'm not remembering as it's been a while.

And finally, you've now made the recommendation meaningless...you should not ask for mud recommendations on the same thread you recommend one. You've now basically said: I like this mud, but if you have ones you think I'd like better, tell me. In short, you're looking to leave the mud you just said you liked a bunch, which undermines the original post and most reccomendations you might make in future.

PS: you really, really need to proofread. You're forgetting apostrophes everywhere and misspelling a lot. I know there's extenuating circumstances, possibly (I'm thinking you're posting from an iPhone or similar), but if you have a browser that supports it, you can get the browser to spell-check for you (Firefox does--I'm using it at the moment).

no luck mostly , i got 2 long lasting stuns witch does not happen that often . most of the time fights are a lot closer than that
