Any active RP enforced MUDs with little to no leveling/grind?

Once again I am looking for a certain type of MUD.
I'm looking for a MUD with...
1. Little to no grind.
2. An -ACTIVE- community.
3. Roleplaying enforced or encouraged.

Also I would be interested in a MUSH or MUX like this...
1. No long character apps.
2. Active community.
3. No unconsented permadeath.

Hello there, Omera.
I've tried hundreds of MUDs over the last ten years and found two that have really grabbed me. There are some superb MUDs like Batmud (), but I've never really have much of an affinity for them them. I play Achaea () quite often and have risen very highly in status and am even a dragon, but it is a level based MUD which isn't quite what you stated that you're looking for. The other game I play is Elysium-rpg and I help with the admin of it. It's an absolutely superb MUD that is actively growing. Maybe give it a try and it might be the MUD that works well for you, otherwise, give Achaea and Batmud a try, then maybe a few off TMS :)

Hope this helps

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but NW provides many of the items you are looking for. There are many ways to grow on NW without actually grinding away at adventure and killing things, although that assists, most assuredly, but you could always become a merchant on the game and never swing a sword the rest of your life!

Come check it out and see for yourself if you wish and when you log in grab a player or two and ask them about the game. While we are fully focussed on RP and enforce it, there are places to talk to you out of character.

Good Luck!

has all of this.

You could absolutely never grind if you wanted, and still be a very meaningful and significant character in the game world.

Or you could choose to do "grindy" things if you wanted. It is completely up to you, with significant paths to success in any direction (or any combination of directions).

sorry, I don't play online games where I'm assimilated because I'm 13.
nor am I able to because of the rules (the really retarded rules).
I could always lie about my age but they would eventually find out.

Assimilated? In the immortal words of Inigo Montoya: "I do not think it means what you think it means."

???

I need to be at least 18 to play threshold, according to the terms of agreement.
And to me assimilated means being treated like an idiot by assholes, whether it's on a MMORPG and somebody calls you a noob because you're trying to roleplay and than you become the target for PKers, or on a MUD and you can't play because *somehow* people mistake age for maturity.

The reason Threshold (and I) thought your post was confusing is because you're using 'assimilate' in a manner exactly opposite to its meaning. If Threshold's policies 'assimilated' you, they would be acting to make you a part of their society, the way a host country assimilates immigrants. You're arguing the opposite-- that their age requirement prevents you from joining.

I've only ever seen people use it in the way I used it.

Aha. Once again I must say: I do not think it means what you think it means.

Interesting.

But then, maybe it is wrong for me to assume people know about dictionaries. To paraphrase Miss Teen South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton: People out there in our nation don't have dictionaries and uh, I believe that our, ah, education like such as in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.

Well Omera, good luck finding a mud. I'm disappointed it won't be Threshold.

I would like to give threshold a try, unfortunatly I CANNOT because of my age. Unless you were to make some exceptions, which is seems you would want me in the threshold community, which is really confusing the crap out of me at the moment.
