This holiday season, RetroMUD is having a special Thanksgiving event, running from now until Christmas, and whether you're a new player or an old one, there's some great stuff to come check out!

For those who have been looking for a new, free MUD to play, now's a better time to try out RetroMUD than ever! For the first time in its 15 year history, RetroMUD is offering new players the chance to start out at level 10 with max training on their initial skills and spells (and believe me, that's a big boost!), so they can get right in and join the adventure! On top of that, new and old players alike are offered a "free reincarnation" ("free," for those who haven't played RetroMUD,means in this case that you avoid the exp tax, pay no gold for retraining, etc, not that you'd ever have to pay for a reincarnation with cash :P ), letting them completely redo their race and guild one time at no penalty (which can be handy, because with 60+ races and 20+ guilds to choose from, getting your favorite combo the first time isn't easy!)

As a side note, for those who play or used to play and haven't heard yet, there's been a lot of changes lately, including a rewrite of the old Hand guild (now known as the Assassin guild), the addition of the 'home' command, and some big changes in the staff setup, to name just some things from the last week alone, so don't miss the new stuff!

As the event draws to a close, the stakes have been upped! Starting now, all exp gains are increased by 20%! There has never been a better to time log in and get yourself established in the best MUD around than right now! Hurry on over!
