MUD status inquiries: Empire, Nuclear War
 

I'm trying to find out the current status of a couple of MUDs that seem to be down -- whether they're officially offline, just suffering transient issues, or what.

Empire MUD, wraith.aplus.net 4000: DNS resolves, but connection attempts time out. MUDstats actually shows it as up, which is a febrile lie, but TMC shows timeouts for the past 55 days in a row. Web site is on the same host as MUD, so equally unreachable.

Nuclear War MUD, abacus.bham.ac.uk 4080: DNS resolves, but connections attempts get "no route to host". MUDstats shows down for 51 days, TMC shows timeouts for 48 days. Web site is reachable, but has nothing on the topic. Unofficial wiki is MIA.

Anybody know anything about what's up with these MUDs?

There's an EmpireMUD over at zeno.biyg.org 2560 I think if you're looking for that codebase.

Nuke turns out to have moved to nuclearwarmudusa.com 4080. No news on Empire.
