Here’s your chance to serve a king and reshape while becoming a part of one of an original epic science fiction saga of the world of Otherspace, A MUSH that was begun in 1998 by creator Wes Platt and continues to grow. The Kingdom of Sivad, has held a reputation as one of the most active planets on the MUSH, a monarch loosely based on the British style of government, rife with its own internal struggle and a key player in the affairs of the Otherspace. A 144 XP bonus for help in building a skillsheet is presently being offered to anyone who creates a Sivadian politician. %r The monarchy has withstood a coup by the last sitting First Councillor Paul Moncrief, who disbanded the Council of Equals, the kingdom’s legislative body attempted to dethrone the crown, plunging the planet into chaos. The king and a band of followers trapped within a ruined capital city, managed to retake control of the kingdom. Shortly after disaster struck again as King Richard was gravely injured during an explosion at the reconstruction of his palace. %r %t Although after months of lingering in a coma, King Richard is on the brink of recovery, the Council of Equals has yet to do so. It has not met nor elected a leader since Paul Moncrief’s treason . Now leaders of the kingdoms three political parties; the Conservatives, the Nationalist and the Social Democrats, prepare for a fever pitched battle to take control of the COE and determine the future of the kingdom of Sivad. %r Aside from social and economic issues, a key divisive issue between the parties is that of specialist ownership. Specialists are a race of genetically engineered beings created to serve the needs of Sivadians. While Conservatives and Nationalists support specialist ownership, social democrats believe specialist ownership is immoral and specialists should be free. SDP leader Paul Moncrief’s immediate and unilateral release of all specialists helped plunge the nation into chaos. It remains to be seen if the social Democrats will ever recover or if the Nationalists or Conservatives can restore the faith of the kingdom. The Kingdom must somehow regain stability and quickly as threat of war with the warlike lizard race the Nall looms over the universe. Join us on the frontlines of this political battle.
