I think regardless of who you are, we place people into certain trust boxes, in games, according to guild status, clan status, level or any form of easily recognizable achievement in the world.  This happens naturally for most people. Coding this into the game could be interesting, but would have to be heavily moderated. Anything that relies on opinion and is controlled by players can be dangerous (but fun).

We have a form of this in our world, though it is web-based and does not affect in-game in any coded manner. Players may leave a (moderated) good or bad comment a day on another’s registry, these comments can then be read by any registered player. This can give other players an idea of what the person is like, who they are friends with, whether they have complaints about them and a general outline of their persona.
