Yeah it was way worse four or five years ago when I first started reading the forums here. I remember so many flame wars..
I tend to call them trolls or flamers. But I try to keep in mind at one point I used to like to joke around a bit and do what is called trolling. So I try not to get to upset with trolls that are just goofing off. I greatly dislike people who fan the flames and evil bridge trolls though.
