Actually, you're going to want to use

if (str && str!="" && sscanf("%s %s",s1,s2)==2) ...

and you probably want to check if the two find_player calls actually worked.

And yes, LPMUDs are far outnumbered by the bland Diku/Merc/Rom/Smaug crowd.
