This announcement concerns the future of the mud
currently known as the "Legends of Kallisti". For those that
do not know, it is based on the DikuMUD code (gamma), and
is counted among the oldest DikuMUDs, running since 1992.
From 1992-1995 it was known as "KallistiMUD", 1996-1998
as "Eris", and 1998-present as the current "Legends of
Kallisti, or "LoK".
Now, a new phase has begun. Rampant dissatisfaction
with the current ownership, from players and immortals alike,
has led to a parting of the ways. I attempted to affect
change within the current mud, first by trying to get the
current owner to share the decision-making process with
others, then by suggesting that one of the other admin take
the helm to get things right again, and finally by refusing to
work in hopes of forcing change. Unfortunately, none of
these solutions have worked.
Now, with my own copy of the mud, I am starting anew.
With the help of others from there (I do not seek to run this
myself; it would be pointless to replace one dicator with
another) the newest phase in this long-running history will
begin at;

Currently, the name is simily "Kallisti". Whether or not it will
change, and if so to what, will be discussed.
So to all current players, I hope you will see this as an
opportunity to right many of the wrongs that have happened
in the past, and come join in. To all others, please drop by
