Beyond the Shadow is a lively Roleplay enforced mud. The dedicated immortals
have plotted out a very interesting story line, and have backed it up with hours of hard work As a former RP immortal around several of the muds, I feel that this mud is especially exciting for both veteran role players, and the blossoming role player.
The leveling system is like no other mud I've ever played. Every character has the chance to learn every skill/class. You decide what path your character is on and climb the ladder.
Another notable feature of leveling, this is not a mud you can start in the morning, and be the highest level possible within a week. Character development takes time.
The old time, one size fits all eq is also a thing of the past. Equipment (EQ) is divided into sizes, and your character wears the appropriate armor to its race. You wont see a centaur trying to wiggle into the same eq that a pixie wears.
The most interesting thing about this mud is the professions. While a lot of muds I've played have limited or inactive professions that have no real worth in game play. BtS has a veryin depth system that allows your character to actually function in it a specific profession. Brew sought after potions, or set up your own shop! You can even found a guild based on your principles.
