New MUD, custom base, looking for builders and creative people.
Since we're starting out anew, this is a chance to really get some input in. Ideally, we'd like people with good writing skills who are interested in creating not just the rooms, but also the worldview and histories.
Unlike many up-one-day-down-another stock MUDs run by people who don't know what they're doing, we've already gotten some good work done. The basics are up; we just need people to help us flesh them out. Tours of what's in so far are available upon request!
The type of MUD we're aiming for is quasi-heavy on RP - not so much that we'll have introductory systems instead of names, but RP will be expected of players and staff. We have a classless, raceless setup that is level-light: not completely levelless, but levels are underemphasized. It will still have the traditional kill-things-for-experience setup, but we intend to try and make it as fun as possible.
Above is just the bare-bones overarching design goals; a lot of our details are still up in the air -- so very much so that we don't even have a name yet! -- so if you're interested in designing as well as simply building, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We do also want people who "just" want to build, though!
