I am glad to hear that you have added back all the required copyright notices to your MERC/DIKU derived codebase, if that is what you are stating.

As stated in the license:
You have added these notices back then, yes?

Because the license also clearly states:
So it would appear that if you removed those required notices you are not allowed to alter the source.

You understand that, no?
