In answer to your questions:
The mayor of the City of Crimson has assured me he will offer special rewards to any and all characters who help the cause, even if they come alone (I can just picture The Lone StirgeSwatter riding into town).
About 'bringing yourself': our mud does not allow multiplaying, although you are free to play any number of 'alts' provided only one is logged on at a time. And yes, the mayor will reward all of the "you"s that help do the squashing.
I suggested bringing a friend, because its been my own experience that such wholesale splatting of blood-sucking critters is a healthy social activity.
Lastly, everyone is most welcome to visit our mud before the Oct 30 event, to get an idea of what 'normal' days are like and see what makes us different from other muds.
