What would have happened if Darth Vader had died on Mustafar along with Obi-Wan Kenobi? If Yoda had defeated Palpatine in their duel? If Padme Amidala had never given birth to Luke and Leia?

This is the premise of Star Wars: Empire Rising, a Star Wars themed MUD utilizing the SWFotE codebase. Set roughly halfway between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Empire Rising features a score of non-stock areas and code alterations, and is constantly adding new features ranging from small to galaxy-altering. The MUD is roleplay-focused, but because of the setting during the Jedi Purge and growth of the Rebellion, allows players to partake in rigorous PVP competition.
