Molly, those numbers are extremely high. However for me they're fairly meaningless until I put them into context. One context is the dead equals the entire population of . Imagine waking up and everyone in that county being dead. To me, that's just really shocking.

As for new years resolutions, I don't do them. I've always said celebrating NYE is illogical as there is no difference between 2 days before NYE and 2 days after NYE. So therefore having a resolution at the start of the year makes little sense. At the start of the school year? Yes. At the end of the school year? Yes. At the start of the year? Seems pointless.
