The hellcore is the trimmed, fixed version of the utilities and systems used on HellMOO and Wayfar. It is a world of difference from most of the stock cores available online. The wizards at hellmoo.org have released this very useful (if you're making a MOO) database for free:

It includes the server binary source, everything you need. You will almost certainly need a linux machine to compile and run it. The core includes many stock items like armor, weapons, vehicles, areas, rooms, drugs, decals, extensive utilities, a game loop/heartbeat system, the HellMOO combat system, and lots of useful code produced over a period of more than 8 years.

Personally I'm very enthused about this - the hellmoo staff were kind enough to give me a copy of the database when I told them my idea about Wayfar, and I'm happy to see it available for public download.
