Just in time for our weekend newbie player drive, the staff of the Sea of Storms is proud to present part 1 of a channeling update. In the wheel of time universe channelers are powerful users of the True Source, which is split into a male and female half. These channelers have control over five elements: air, water, spirit, fire, and earth. With this new channeling update we are opening up new levels of power to people who wish to play these types of characters, with the Gifted and Strong talents in character creation.

In addition to keep to the spirit of realism to the setting we have enabled a realistic channeling restriction on selecting your power in different elements to more accurately represent the books. Men are powerful in fire and earth, women are powerful in air and water!

So if you've ever wanted to experience the madness of a male channeler in full control of his powers and losing control of his mind, or the cool serenity of an Aes Sedai handling a group of threatening Whitecloaks. Now is a great time to start.

We've also added new updates to our scholar and language code. The scholars of the land possess the ability to learn, speak, and now teach the various languages of the Wheel of Time to others. In fact we have gone a step further and allowed people to include non-common languages into their emote and poses with realistic [scrambling] for non speakers. If you want to play a noble who speaks in old tongue to boggle the minds of lowly peasants, prepare to laugh at alot of people!
