I'm a huge proponent of pushing MUDs to portable media.

There is so much advancement in Java, Android and HTML-5 that very slick interfaces could be made to facilitate ease of gameplay on a tablet or smartphone.

I think things need to change, for the better, but I think MUDs have a chance for a new and very vibrant life.
