The Great Hunt is a mud based on Robert Jordan's book series The Wheel of Time. It is very easy to learn to play, and very fun to play once you get the hang of it. It is mostly pk-based. There is an extensive amount of rooms (around 10,000). The mud itself is very well layed out, because Dakarba (head coder) is very skilled at coding.
There is alot of new changes (being) put in, such as a new leveling system which offers level quests that once completed take off half of your per level which makes leveling go much faster. They are putting in a new guild-castle system which you as a clan build yourself, and inside you will be able to farm reagents (to forge eq and make potions) and you can hire mobs to defend your castle. You will also be able to break into castles and loot things. The mobs are being changed dramastically making it so that you will be able to tank mostly all of the mobs by yourself, and all of them with a group of people, so the good equiptment will be easy for newbies to get, and also quick, so if you happen to loose your eq you can get a new set quickly and efficently. There are currently 8 clans (two which accepts almost all newbies, and one of those is there to help newbies get eq and other things [Tuatha'an]) and the possibility of another one re-opening which will most likely also except ALL newbies. 
The immortal staff are very fair and also will help out anyone that asks. If you dont have a pk script you can ask Dakarba for one and he will send you one.
