Re: Wanting to start with the basics

Well, I you want specific problems:

1. I only have basic programming experience to go with my degree in Game and Web Design.

2. The only way I can increase my experience is to do coding and programming.

3. The only programming languages I have had experience with are C, C++, HTML and C#.

Since this is going to be my fist time coding a MUD, it's going to be more of a dissection of the code to learn what it does, how to manipulate the code to do what is needed, and gaining experience with altering and debugging code.

As for the Databases, they can hold a lot of information that a simpler code can access and process for the result, and if the base code doesn't support it, I get the experience and my own code for making it access a database for the information.

I do know that C and HTML can both be programmed for accessing information stored in a database, and can use the same database.
