-WOW- . I can't believe how close my original code was to working. Just after making my post (a few mintues ago) I got to work and the code now works. Here is the full function (it's missing some formatting but the structure is there). For the time being I just used a simple number of MAX_AREAS 1000, even though it's incorrect. I need to research how to dynamically allocate that value based on the number of areas we have I suppose so that it's accurate.

Thanks a ton Camlorn. Any suggestions for further improvement?
