Like Valg has been saying, with CF being a mandatory roleplay MUD, we love the idea of exp rewards for roleplay. We currently have a system for immortals to hand some out manually for anything we see and like, but there's no way our ~20 immortals, who are pretty much never all on at the exact same time, can watch the 50-100 players who may be on at any one time.
As it is now, our players get automated experience via several means for exploring dangerous/remote areas, and even some smaller amount for exploring normal areas for the first time. We've been developing steadily in the direction of non-combat exp rewards for a few years now, but we can still only give roleplay exp bonuses manually.
Anyway, I'm curious to hear more as well.
