A thought that just crossed my mind:

If the list goes to weekly tallies, the vote totals for the lower end of the list might end up looking really bad. And for those people that choose muds to visit based on the "number of players" (more appropriately, the number of votes) - the lower end might take a hit in visits.

But that was just the first thought that came to my tired mind ...
