Currently looking for a few patient testers to help bend/break/destroy a new custom codebase/ side-project. This is not exactly a normal MUD, more of computerized CCG along the lines of Magic. A very basic groundwork is laid out and is ready for abuse.
Being that it is a game based on sorcery duels there is very little you can do unless there are other players on and it can be somewhat tedious to play against yourself. So stop in, check the who list and propose a challenge, watch a battle, chat abit or tinker with your spell list.
A few features already in:
Turn-based, menu combat system where you use summoned mobs and an arsenal of spells to destroy your opponent's Avatar.
Customizable spell decks built from your character's knowledge of spells.
Easy access to information on the different spells. Casting costs, abilities, strengths, weaknesses.
Fame based system of progression. With each battle you gain points which can be spent to improve the abilities of your Avatar or learn new spells.
Large range of spell and creature abilities that expand the depth of combat and add metagame design into the spell deck creation.
Clans which battle for rare artifacts usable in game. Clans also have access to rare clan-specific spells that can alter the nature of duels.
