Thumbs up

Theme:
Realistic medieval theme with addition of down-toned fantasy. Our prime goal is achieving a very high quality roleplay environment without reducing gameplay factors. Research is considered a must when planning particularly important zones, where everything needs to be realistic.

Engine:
Some resemblance of SMAUG, called TRE [the Riverís edge code]. Building is done OLC with very powerful tools allowing MOB, item and room programs for enhanced creation. A player-friendly interference with lots of interesting features. The MUD will be centred around the webpage for future use.

Builder:
Dedicated and experienced builders aiming for perfection and with the ability to work both solo and in team with frequent progress. Good grammar and spelling is a demand, as well as samples of work sent in with application. Recommended age: above 16 years old. Zones can be given to builders or constructed from their own ideas.

Coder:
Visit: http:\\mud.rocke.org and click your way onto the coding application for further info.

Sounds interesting?
Mail to zagost@hotmail.com with a quick description about yourself and samples of your work.

Does that mean then that most people die by the time they are 40 or 50, lead miserable lives working 7 days a week, have bad breath, bad BO, bad teeth, eat half-rotted meat for meals and are illiterate?

Eat meat? Must have been richer than normal peasants.

Meat was very rare, even in the rotten variety, vegetables were more the norm.

Tofu-beef. When I was doing the peasant thing in France in the 11th century, we ate a lot of it.

[nod] You suddenly die...

Nah realistic simply states that zones are created with research in mind, no semi-true creations. Also it means quite a lot when looking at code, one example, fighting and get hurt = you fight with less ability etc. Connect the medieval and realistic term might have been a mistake

And by all means don't forget the quaint medieval custom 'Droit de Seigneur', meaning that the Lord of the Manor had the exclusive right to the first night with every female on the estate. Could make for some 'interesting' roleplay...

We have an entire zone on our mud where every kid in the village is the spitting image of the Baron of the castle nearby. *snicker*

I just love realism in muds...
