Greetings!

Good day everyone!

My name is Zelig and I am the creator and developer behind The Worlds of Katarra (The Worlds of Katarra | Home).

I have been working on this text-based, browser-based game for roughly 3 years, releasing it to the public this past April. If you have a few moments, come check it out. It's an ever expanding world with new features being added frequently as well as new races, classes, rooms, etc.

Re: Greetings!

Welcome!

Just wondering, is there any way to connect to your MUD using traditional telnet (read: TinyFugue)? My browser is my browser is my browser and not some kind of game client :-)

Re: Greetings!

I don't believe you can connect via telnet to Katarra.

I've never tried... but it is a browser based (mySQL / php) created game.

See, the browser thing is one of the game's main draws, for me - I can connect from any browser, from anywhere at all and I don't have to download clients or anything, just log in from the website and I'm good to go. (Hiya Zelly~)

IME, it takes a tiny bit of getting used to as a format if you're used to telnet games with stacks of emote code and stuff, as it's a lot more free-form for rp. But I like that too, so it's all good and I'm so far quite enjoying myself.
