Arctic MUD has a recent news that may be of interest to our old players as well as to those who looked for
an opportunity to try our game when something particularly interesting happens.

In honor of USA's Independence Day and France's Bastille Day:

The Black Dragonarmy occupation of Port Balifor has continued for far too long, according to the citizens of the city. Now tired of the continued occupation of their home, they have begun to rebel quietly against their evil overlords.

It is believed that the lord high executioner is sympathetic to the rebels and might have access to the Dragonarmy's command center in Port Balifor. It is unlikely that he will reveal his sympathies to anyone who does not have proof of their desire to see the city liberated.

Those who seek to aid the citizens of Port Balifor should be of stout heart and bring many friends.

The quest will be open until the end of July, so there will be ample opportunity for everyone to have a go at it.

If you've never heard about Arctic, here is a very brief summary of our game:

- Advanced hack-n-slash, Diku codebase with a lot of changes and additions.

- 100% free, you never have to pay for anything (we don't offer advantages for sell, too. All depends only on the player's skill).

- 20-25 players online at quiet hours, 50-100 at peak hours, 100+ during the major events. Our playerbase is truly international - there are a lot of Finns, Greeks and Russians among our players, to name a few.

- 10 different classes with unique spells and skills.

- A huge world to explore (25.000+ rooms). We're proud that our areas follow the Dragonlance books very closely.

- A policy against publicly sharing the information. Google doesn't know the solutions to our quests and puzzles, you will have to go out and explore like a real adventurer!

- Unrestricted PvP - any time, for any reason, or for no reason at all. Excessive pkill (e.g. rampant killing of newbie players) is discouraged, though.

- Clans. Clan strongholds. Clan wars.
